Dr. Levy is originally from the gulf coast of Florida. In high school, he was accepted into the prestigious Honors Program in Medicine at the University of Miami. He was one of only 20 students selected for this joint college and medical school program. After graduation, he completed his internal medicine residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. Subsequently, Dr. Levy completed his fellowship in gastroenterology at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. Dr. Levy was fortunate to be mentored and trained by one of the world’s premier experts in gastroesophageal reflux disease during his fellowship.
Dr. Levy began practicing in Macon in 2010. He joined Gastroenterology Associates of Central Georgia, LLC in 2013. He has particular interests in high quality colon cancer screening as well as the diagnosis and treatment of GERD. In 2013 Dr. Levy was the first physician in central Georgia to perform radiofrequency ablation for Barrett’s esophagus, an exciting new treatment for this complication of GERD.
Dr. Levy’s interests outside of work have included hiking, camping, and disc golf. Currently, however, he spends his free time with his wonderful wife, two children, and his shih-tzu.
Dr. Levy maintains privileges at the Medical Center of Central Georgia. He sees patients at both his Macon and Warner Robins office locations.
